You choose how Pip teaches

Curious question — answered your way.

We put parents back in control. Using the parent portal, you set Pip’s approach to answers: Socratic questions back, first-principles explanations, or Charlotte Mason narration — per subject, changeable any time as they grow. Set off limit topics that gently encourage the child to “Ask your Mom or Dad that question.”

Socratic mode
Pip asks before it tells.
EvieThe moon looked like a banana last night!
PipGreat noticing. Before I tell you — what do you think changed?
First Principles mode
Pip explains from the ground up.
PipThe moon is always a ball of rock. Sunlight lights up one side — let's see why we only see part of it from Earth...
EvieLike moving a flashlight around a ball!
Narration mode
Charlotte Mason style retell.
PipSo the moon doesn't change — our view does. Now tell me the whole story back, like you're teaching Papa.
EvieSun shines on the ball but Earth only sees one bit...
Program how Pip answers in the portal. Pip will gently reinforce your preferred style.

Grows with them

Built to grow with your child — from bedtime stories to car keys.

Age 3–4

The story box

Tap-a-card stories and songs, parent-loaded. As simple as a music box.

Age 5–6

The question machine

The tutor channel opens. Hold the paddle, ask why the moon follows the car. Pip answers exactly the way you'd answer — asking back, or explaining from first principles.

Age 7–9

The family radio

Friend and family channels: grandparents, cousins, approved pals. Push-to-talk calls, every contact approved by you.

Age 10–15

The real tool

Lesson help, language practice, interview recordings through the mic jack — and a machine they can open themselves. Eight real screws, upgradeable brain, no glue anywhere.

Parents run the station

What families see

It starts with the questions they ask.

Pip's portal leads with curiosity, not screen time: every question your child holds the paddle to ask, captured, tagged and yours.

For example:

127
questions asked this month
31
standards-tagged conversations
9
topics planted in the queue
100%
of recordings paddle-initiated

Built for homeschool rhythm

Teach your way.

Set your child's learning rhythms from the portal. Create a channel for morning-time stories. Set Pip to Narration Mode, to ask comprehension questions after certain stories. Launch tutor mode for Pip to follow up with historical or scientific context, questions, and more! And at the end of the semester, download your dashboard to track learning progress — every recorded conversation tagged to your state's standards, assembled into a portfolio you or your evaluator can use.

You teach your wayPip's modes match how you already teach — Socratic, first-principles, narration, child-led.
Records write themselvesStandards-tagged transcripts of real conversations. Portfolio-ready exports in one click.
Private by constructionMic only lives while the paddle is held. PIP Private keeps every word inside the box.

Privacy

Privacy is physics, not policy.

The microphone works only while the paddle is held down. That's not a setting — it's a spring.

Unplug your router. Ask Pip a question.
It still answers.
Nothing your child says ever leaves the radio — on PIP 01 Private, the entire brain runs inside the box. No subscription, ever.

Design

Built by Dads, loved by kids.

Bone-white shell. Graphite grille. Or go pink and purple with polkadots. Each build is a one off, with fully customizable color palette. Eight screws. If your kid opens it up with a screwdriver someday, we'll consider that a feature. (So will they.) Open architecture for Dads in the know.
